The poem "Mending Wall" by Robert Frost explores many physical and mental boundaries. These include how one man does want the wall, as it creates privacy whereas the neighbour does not want the wall as it will help keep the place open. Robert Frost uses many well written visual imagery techniques. For example:

That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it
And spills the upper boulder in the sun,

These two lines describe the wall. How the ground underneath it is frozen and how the sun covers the wall. The purpose of this is to show what the wall could be like. Frost uses illusions as well; the motive for this was to compare it to a competitive game. For example:
Oh, just another kind of outdoor game,
One on a side. It comes to a little more;
